Speakers: Tanya Hartman
What is your name and where do you live?
Tanya Hartman: Hi, I'm Tanya Hartman from Columbus, Ohio.
How did visiting the factory (TGT) deepen your appreciation for the craftsmanship behind our products?
Tanya Hartman: Getting a chance to visit the factory in Thailand was just such an incredible eye opener. I think a couple of things that I took away from that experience that I have shared with every one of my clients is, number one, I absolutely adore how much our workers love creating our products. I mean, you hear so many horror stories and myths about manufacturing in Asia, and it just could not have been the polar opposite. Of what I, you know, what you're picturing in your mind. I mean, they're happy, they're well paid, they're excited. They were so welcoming of us. They like, they thought we were like celebrities. It was just incredible and I just really appreciated how much they care about what they're creating for us. And I love that they want us to sell more, because the more that we sell, the more they get to produce, and the more money they can make, too. It's like it's a total group effort. I love that. And what I also love is that it seems like they really have this true affinity to our products because each one is made individually with initials on them. No two jackets are alike, and it seems like they really understand that they're making this for like a real human being, not like a huge size run of jackets, 250,000 all at once. And who knows where they're gonna end up or who's gonna buy them. Like, they really understand how personal this business is and the fact that it's so personal, not just in the sales approach, but in the manufacturing approach. I just think it's something so incredibly special.
