What is your name and where do you live?
Jessica Richau: My name is Jessica Richau and I live in northern Minnesota in the beautiful lakes area.
What surprised you most about the Growing Elite trip, and why?
Jessica Richau: I was really pleasantly surprised to learn about TAL's sustainability efforts. I knew that sustainability is in the core belief system, and they are constantly innovating and setting new standards for sustainability within the organization. But what I didn't realize is that they are actually setting the bar for the industry as a whole, not just our factories, not just our companies, but really looking to initiate change worldwide. They are setting goals and standards in the industry that others are following suit, and I think it's just really, really telling to see that we are part of something so much bigger. That they care really about not just the world as we have it and as we will leave it, but they are thinking and planning generations ahead for our planet.
