Speaker: Ross Cressman, Clinic Director/Partner
Ross Cressman: Hello, my name is Ross Cressman, and I am a physical therapist who is a clinic director and partner of Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy. I'm currently running the de novo of Ivy Nashua in New Hampshire, and I've been a part of Ivy for over 3 years now, uh, 3 years in November specifically.
Why did you decide to partner with Ivy to open your own clinic?
Ross Cressman: I decided to become a partner of Ivy Rehab when I was working in Rhode Island, in the Rhode Island - Mass area. As a clinic director and even before that as a staff PT and I knew that my wife and I wanted to move up to southern New Hampshire, to be closer to her family, and I've enjoyed being a part of Ivy. They've taken good care of me and, have supported me through multiple processes and courses and things like that, and I really just wanted to stay a part of the team and so I pitched starting to go into New Hampshire through the Denovo program. And I was met with open arms as far as the idea, and because of that, here I am today running Ivy Nashua, the de novo in New Hampshire, the first one.
What did the support and resources look like for an Ivy de novo partner?
Ross Cressman: The support and resources that I received from Ivy during this process are extensive. The viability of real estate, the insurance processes and understanding insurance in a new in a new state. On the ground when it comes to marketing and making ourselves known in a new environment and market, it's been a, they support all the way through and it really has been uplifting and successful and continues to be successful as we move forward up here.
What advice would you give to someone interested in opening your own clinic?
Ross Cressman: It is an excellent experience and you do learn a lot along the way. There are times that you're gonna need to put in a little bit of extra work and GSD, get some stuff done and show some of that grit that they talk about, but for the most part, it's an excellent experience and it's very worth it in the long run and as you continue to grow and you bring on more members to your team. It's really awesome to see what you can partner with Ivy to create, especially if you especially if you join a new community kind of like I have up here and be able to bring excellent care to the people in this community and really make partnerships with local doctors and create great care for many, many patients and many more to come.
