Speaker: Rebecca Giuliano, Occupational Therapist
Rebecca Giuliano: Hi, my name is Becca. I am from Philadelphia, PA and I'm starting the pediatric occupational therapy residency program.
Where did you go to school, and how long have you been with Ivy? We'd love to hear what initially brought you to join the Ivy team!
Rebecca Giuliano: I went to the University of Scranton, in Scranton, Pennsylvania majoring in OT. And I joined the Ivy team about two years ago. Loved it ever since. And what brought me to Ivy was this amazing outpatient clinic setting. And it was very convenient to where I lived and it was just such a welcoming and exciting environment for me to join into. So I've been loving it ever since.
What are you most excited about as you begin this residency program? What do you hope to accomplish during your time here?
Rebecca Giuliano: I'm most excited to try new things and learn new things that will make me a more inclusive, competent and well rounded therapist. I feel very confident in my ability to interact and build relationships with Children. But I'm really excited to bring new interventions into the table and really work with Children in a more meaningful and evidence based way. And I feel like this residency program is really going to kick start the next phase of my career. Whether that's being a clinical instructor to other OT students, climbing the clinical ladder, really, whatever my path will lead me on. I feel like this residency program is really going to educate me, empower me and boost me into the right direction. So I'm very excited for that.
