Video Transcript

Speaker: Marisa Visco, Physical Therapist

Marisa Visco: Hello. Hello, my name is Marisa Visco MTV, welcome to my crib. I'm just kidding. I am outside because I could not take myself seriously in front of my coworkers. But like I said, my name is Marisa. I'm from Lawrenceville, New Jersey. I'm currently working in the Malaga office and, I will be in the Orthopedic Residency.

Where did you go to school, and how long have you been with Ivy? We'd love to hear what initially brought you to join the Ivy team!

Marisa Visco: So I went to Penn State for undergrad and then Kane University for PT school. I've been with Ivy since May, but this is my second go around. I've been doing travel PT sort of like a bit of a snowbird between Florida and Jersey. So collectively, I guess I've been with Ivy for like 11 months. Honestly, the residency is what got me to stop traveling. I was all ready to head to Savannah come January. And then Nicole Hoffman told me- Nicole and Mark told me about, the residency and just really piqued my interest and I knew I had to do it!

What are you most excited about as you begin this residency program? What do you hope to accomplish during your time here?

Marisa Visco: I'm super excited to start learning in general. Anytime I hear someone talking about a method that I haven't heard of or maybe I'm a little rusty on. It just gets me really excited to, to brush up on that or learn a new concept. Yeah, that's the cool thing about our profession. I feel like you can keep building and growing. There's really no reason to stop doing that. There's always new information coming out and just different avenues you can do in the, in the field. I'm also super excited to get to know the rest of the cohort. I love meeting new people and you can always pick up different things from people based on, you know, their personalities, expertise, experience all that.
