Speaker: Jody Henson, Revenue Cycle Business Partner
Jody Henson: My name is Jody Henson. I'm a revenue cycle business partner here at Ivy Rehab. I joined Ivy Rehab in February of 2020 through an acquisition.
Take us through a day in the life in your role.
Jody Henson: A normal day for me as a revenue cycle business partner may differ a little bit from other revenue cycle business partners. But in my role, I do a lot of fuse buddy work. So as a fuse buddy or a data analyst, I'll go in and I will pull EOBs that need to be posted. And I will also update the tracker which is a way for us to monitor what has been posted, and if it's been accurately posted. I also meet with the posters weekly one on one I do it through an audit process. I check their work to make sure their posting is accurate and that it has been completed in a timely manner.
What is something you get to do at Ivy that you might not be able to do anywhere else?
Jody Henson: One thing that I get to do at Ivy that really wouldn't get to do it many other places is I get to continue my education through programs that they have set up. I've went through the lead program, which is one of the best programs that I've ever been through. I've been through a lot of different things. I've went through Six Sigma before, but these programs that Ivy has built into the actual company that allows people to grow and continue their, their learning. You're never too old to learn and I think Ivy gets that and, and they really do a great job of implementing different programs that people can join and be a part of that really helps them grow professionally and personally. Some of, some of the books that we
What advice would you give to someone considering joining Ivy?
Jody Henson: If you're considering joining Ivy. One thing that I would say is if you love a team atmosphere, then you're gonna love Ivy. If you love to have support behind you, you're gonna love Ivy. Ivy is a place where there, the, the one Ivy motto fits perfectly for this company. There's always going to be support around you. There's always going to be support for you growing professionally. There's so many opportunities within this company to be able to advance and even change the area that you're wanting to be in. I'm a prime example of that. I started out as a regional patient coordinator, moved into a clinic director role, moved into an area director role, then moved into a reimbursement manager's role and I have recently been promoted to revenue cycle business partner. So the amount of advancement opportunities that you have within this company, the amount of programs that they have within this company to grow you professionally and personally is truly amazing. And it is truly a team atmosphere, "One Ivy" says it all.
