Speaker: Jeanamarie Banta, Physical Therapist
Jeanamarie Banta: My name is Jeanamarie Banta. I am originally from North Jersey but currently live in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and I will be starting the sports residency.
Where did you go to school, and how long have you been with Ivy? We'd love to hear what initially brought you to join the Ivy team!
Jeanamarie Banta: I went to Gettysburg College for my undergraduate degree and graduated with my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University in 2016. I've been with Ivy for about a year and a half and was drawn to Ivy because of their commitment to professional development and clinical excellence.
What are you most excited about as you begin this residency program? What do you hope to accomplish during your time here?
Jeanamarie Banta: I am most looking forward to meeting and learning from my fellow residents as well as learning from the mentors in the program. And I'm also very excited to get firsthand experience on the field with our venue coverage hours that are required for the residency. And through the residency, I hope to be able to bring my clinical decision making skills to the next level. As I help athletes from their acute injury phase throughout the continuum to the time they return to the field of play.
