Speaker: Sarah King, Regional Director, SW Ohio Pediatrics
Sarah King: My name is Sarah King and I am the Regional Director of Southwest Ohio Pediatrics. I've been a member of the Ivy team since August of 2021.
Take us through a day in the life in your role.
Sarah King: Each day for me is a little different which I really like. It's never boring. I currently oversee the operations of seven pediatric and three ABA locations with 200 teammates within my region. Overall, the focus of my day to day is on clinical excellence. I ensure that we are providing the highest quality of care for our patients and their families. I ensure that my leaders are equipped with the tools that they need to support their teams and that our teammates are feeling that support and they're growing in their clinical and their professional skills. I get the opportunity to coordinate with others within the company on the best operational practices. To ensure this clinical excellence, I get to spend time each week on our university relations and promoting our professions. Another focus of my day to day, each week is on access to care and how we can provide services to families and more communities who need our help. I'm present for my team making sure I'm in my clinics on a regular basis and I get to treat patients from time to time, which I love too. In any given week. I could be in a clinic meeting with students at a job fair, coaching a teammate or looking at rental space for our next location. Did I already say it's never boring. I love the variety. I truly love what I do.
What is something you get to do at Ivy that you might not be able to do anywhere else?
Sarah King: What we have here at Ivy is pretty special. We're the largest provider of pediatric outpatient services in the country. With that being said, I get the privilege to network with so many other leaders who are working to develop solutions, just like I am. They're going through a lot of the similar experiences that I am. So I love that camaraderie I have within the organization. I also have the support of a strong operational support team and our executive leadership team is like no other. Before we joined Ivy, I didn't have the capacity to open up new locations. Now with the support that I have, I can help more children and more communities that just helps me feel so good that we're helping so many more children because of the support that we have with being part of Ivy.
