Speaker: Angelica Miciano, Speech Language Pathologist
Angelica Miciano: Hi, my name is Angelica. I am a speech therapist here at Virginia Beach, Virginia and I am going to be starting the SLP residency program.
Where did you go to school, and how long have you been with Ivy? We'd love to hear what initially brought you to join the Ivy team!
Angelica Miciano: So for undergrad, I went to ODU and for grad school, I attended Hampton University. I have been with Ivy Rehab for about two years now. And what initially brought me to join Ivy is the fact that there are multiple locations around where I live. And so it was easier commute for me. So, yeah. So, yeah.
What are you most excited about as you begin this residency program? What do you hope to accomplish during your time here?
Angelica Miciano: So I am most excited about taking classes that I have been meaning to take. But I haven't had the time to I know that I am, I am interested in taking feeding classes and Myo just so that I can learn some techniques to apply for when I'm treating articulation kiddos. And then I hope to accomplish being able to be certified in something. As of right now, I'm kind of testing the water with everything and asking different therapists about different things to help me out and guide me with some of my patients, but I eventually do want to certify in something. But yeah, I think being in the residency program will allow me to take multiple classes and will help me find that and see will help me find what I'm more interested in. So, yeah.
