Speaker: Amir McCain, Physical Therapist

Amir McCain: Hi, everybody. My name is Amir. I would say that I'm from Philly but really, I'm from Delco, Lands Down to be exact. I went to, Penn Wood High School and I'm doing the sports residency for Ivy Rehab.

Where did you go to school, and how long have you been with Ivy? We'd love to hear what initially brought you to join the Ivy team!

Amir McCain: For school, I went to Temple University for undergraduate. For post back DBT school, I went to Saint Joe's. The Hawk will never die. And I've been with Ivy for about, I wanna say four months now. I started in August. So, yeah, what brought me to

What are you most excited about as you begin this residency program? What do you hope to accomplish during your time here?

Amir McCain: With this residency program. I'm most excited to get some experience working under a mentor that can help me delve into a specialty. I believe it's important especially for new grads to be able to get as much experience as possible. And I think this is just that. I'll be able to get as much experience in sports and be able to use everything I learn in sports and kind of facilitate it to other areas. I don't think that learning in one area can limit you just to that area. I'm a strong believer that everyone is an athlete, everyone has a sport and that we can use what we learn in sports physical therapy and use it for other populations.
