Speaker: Lisa Corrigan , HR Admin Asst., Mountainview Nursing Home
Please state your name, title, and company.
Lisa Corrigan : My name is Lisa Corrigan. I am the HR Admin Assistant here at Mountainview Nursing Home in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Please explain who your company is, what it does, and who it serves.
Lisa Corrigan : Mountainview Nursing Home is a nonprofit, skilled nursing home in Spartanburg, South Carolina. We cater to those that do not have the funds to go into a private pay nursing home facility.
How many employees does your company have?
Lisa Corrigan : Mountainview has approximately 84 to 90 employees. Most of them full time, most of them in our nursing staff, though we do have many other departments. We do also have agency that comes in and helps and works for us. Most of our employees are dedicated individuals that have been with us for a long time. Moving to isolved really helped them.
What did you need in an HCM partner and how does isolved solve for those needs?
Lisa Corrigan : Mountainview made a decision to go paperless and we needed something that the employees would be able to use easily. I have found that performance HCM, isolved, has been great with that. The platforms are easy for the employees to use. They can see their time sheets. They can see their leave balances. They can see what their paychecks are going to be the day that payroll is processed, which helps them with budgeting, and seeing what they'll need to do for the next pay period. I have found it to be very easy to put people into the system. It gets us up and running, and benefits have never been better. The employees have very hands on experience. They feel like they are in charge of it. It has made things a whole heck of a lot easier and now I don't have to run down anybody. I just help them a little bit, but I don't have to run anybody down to do their benefits since it is so easily available to them.
How was implementation with isolved?
Lisa Corrigan : Our implementation with isolved was in a couple of phases. I think it went pretty well. We did have some hiccups with our time clocks. It was resolved very quickly once we did put out that we had issues with it. Other than that, everything was pretty smooth and flowed very easily in from our old system. The team that came out and trained us was great and we've had nothing but wonderful support from the isolved performance HCM team. I couldn't have been happier.
What is a tangible key benefit you saw from using isolved? (ex: hours saved, money saved, etc.)
Lisa Corrigan : What I noticed immediately, especially during open enrollment with benefits, is it saved a lot of time. Like I said earlier, employees are able to log in to their benefits for themselves. I'm not running around chasing people down. I'm not having stay long hours to try to figure out who on second shift and third shift still hasn't signed up for their benefits. It's made things a lot simpler. We've saved money now that we're not printing paychecks any longer. We're able to have them log in and see their pay stubs for themselves. We don't have to sit there and envelope and pack up time sheets, or paychecks, and hand them out to people. It has made things a lot easier. I think our payroll has been simplified. With all the rules that have been put in place, It has made things a little easier on that end. And putting people into the system, getting people set up. It's a nice even flow. There's not a lot of gaps and it makes things a lot smoother a lot easier when we're doing on onboarding and getting people on the team.
Anything else you would like to add?
Lisa Corrigan : In closing, I'd just like to say that moving over to performance HCM isolved was something that I don't regret us doing. I love our support team. When I have an issue or a problem, they get back to me. There were a few hiccups in the beginning when we were first migrating from performance HCM to just isolved but I have no complaints. I enjoy working in the system. I think it's pretty intuitive. I think it's pretty simple to use. Our employees love that they have more control, are able to see their time sheets, are able to let us know when they've missed a punch or if there's an issue, which kind of helps save us time when we go to the payroll. We're not waiting until the end of the week to say, "Hey, you know, you didn't punch in or you didn't punch out" It's made things a little simpler and easier in that respect. I like the fact that our employees, once again, have more input and are able to see their things. I also like that our managers are becoming more involved and seem to be excited about the system. We are trying now to use it to put our performance reviews into the system so that the managers and supervisors can see them. I see this partnership going forward. And hopefully, we'll be able to stay with isolved for the long run.
