Speakers: Tony Accardi

Tony Accardi: Hello, my name is Tony Accardi. My wife Patricia is suffering from Alzheimer's dementia. We started working with Isaac Health back in September of last year, and since then our care navigator Angela has been doing a fantastic job. She's found us a psychiatrist, a neurologist, a psychotherapist and a speech therapist [at Isaac Health]. And with the combination of these folks, things are starting to look up, and I am also learning different caring techniques from watching seminars provided by Isaac Health and I think that we really found a good place to find all the help that we need. And with that, if you're in the same boat as us, give Isaac Health a shout out.

What stands out about the care or support you’ve received through Isaac Health?

Tony Accardi: Well, something that stands out with Isaac Health is the ease of making appointments with these professionals, it seems like, they easily accommodate your schedule and if you need to reschedule, that really isn't much of a problem. And my wife is very happy after she gets off the Zoom with the different people [her providers], especially, in particular, she likes Kathryn, who's the psychotherapist. She likes the way she talks to her and they relate very well. Also, Maddie, the speech therapist. She's very great. She and Patricia get along really good and things are looking good after the phone calls.

What advice would you give to someone who is concerned about changes in memory/thinking?

Tony Accardi: The advice that I would give a person who's going through memory changes and the way they think is try to go to a physician and get yourself memory tested and screening.

Tony Accardi: Get in touch with Isaac Health, and they can definitely help you with where you need to be.
