Please briefly tell us about your career in automation.
Morning. Automation is an integral part of our lives. Be it a home, a school, a office, a business, a travel everywhere. Automation is a part and why not? It has made our lives easier. When I say easier that it has made the process automatic. Just take an example of a scanning machine in the hospital. Earlier, there were no such facilities available or if at all it was available, it used to take a lot of time, manual activity and the results were not so accurate. But now we have automatic scan machines which takes a few seconds and the results are fast and accurate. So the patients can be diagnosed in an accurate manner as what is the kind of disease he is facing? I just take an example of a TV. I remember those earlier days when we wish to change a channel, you have to physically go to the TV, set and change the channel. Now everything is automatic, sitting on your chair, you can listen, you can see whatever you wish. The power plants, the process industries, everything is running in the auto mot. What does it mean? It means that we are the plant in the most optimized manner which results in the optimized consumption of the fuel and the lower rates of energy which ultimately affects the cost of a product. Automation is also making a vital role in the environment, social and governance. As far as the environment is concerned, the processing industries are running and they discharge effluent water, having a lot of things which are not desirable for the land, for the humans. Similarly, the agents are there from the stacks. With the use of automation, you can not only monitor the affluent quality and the stack emission quality, but we can control our processes. So as to minimize them, if I take a case of social, we know automation has played a vital role. Just take an example of a worker or a labor who is working in the plant. Is this safe to operate? Automation gives an indication it is safe, it is not safe. You can track the movement of an employer in sight the process plant and he can also give an alert, a buzzer in case if he is not feeling well in that area, fencing kind of a facility is available. And in the governments, we know automation has played a very good role. You know how the things are getting operated right from the shelf floor till the business deliver product and its life cycle. Everywhere automation is impacted.
