Which test did you take and why you took it?
Nolan Greggain: Hi, my name is Nolan and I took the electrical apprenticeship test. The, uh, reason I took this test is so that way I can hopefully get into an apprenticeship with the union and, um, you know, build my career.
Which section of the test was the most challenging for you?
Nolan Greggain: The uh part of the test that was most difficult for me was definitely the math section of the test. Um, I, I'm usually pretty good with English. I've always done pretty good with English throughout high school, junior high, all of that. But I've always had a, I've always struggled with math. I've always, I've always passed it but not to the best of my ability I feel. But so that's why I made sure to, to study extra hard for this test. And I think it paid off because I think I did a lot better than I would have without studying.
How was your overall testing experience?
Nolan Greggain: The overall testing experience was pretty good. Um, I showed up there 30 minutes early and walked in about 15 minutes early just to make sure I had enough time. And once I walked in, it was pretty simple. Um, you just walk in, check in, sit down, wait for everyone to get there and then begin the test. It was all relatively straightforward. You didn't really have any issues and it was pretty smooth all the way through.
How would you recommend future test takers get ready for the test?
Nolan Greggain: Um, to prepare for the test. Definitely study. Um, I used this website, it was called iPREP and it has, it had pretty much everything, it covered everything that was pretty much on the test. Uh, it definitely helped me a lot. I studied for like, 2.5 weeks and I really paid off. Um, it refreshed a lot of my memory because after high school, if you don't do any math, it, it just goes all out the door. And so it was definitely a good refresher for sure study because it'll, it'll definitely help.
