Speaker: Dena Haswell

Which test did you take and why you took it?

Dena Haswell: So I found iPREP when I was trying to study for my CRCST. So the sterile tech certificate, I really kind of needed to gain some confidence going into this test. And there's only so many practice tests that you can do in the back of, you know, any of the reference material that you find for this test. There's not a lot of practice test and and you don't know if like the content is even up to date. And so it was really nice to come across iPREP, they had some really good reviews. And so that kind of really made me confident about purchasing it, using it, it really helped gain my confidence for sure because going into this test, for my CRCST, the passing rate was pretty low. Like last time I looked it was like at 40%. And so I really was looking for something that can help me gain that confidence, do some practice test. I really like that, it timed me because I was able to get the test done in like an hour when I had three hours. And so I was able to like pace myself, kind of go back through recheck everything. And so I wouldn't have known that it would only take me like a good hour to take the test if I didn't take those practice tests that iPREP provided. And so it definitely helped, I ended up passing my CRCST even though the passing rate was pretty low. So I was very thankful that I found it. It's definitely worth the use recommend for sure.

Dena Haswell: So for me, I took the CRCST exam. I took it because, yeah, I work for community health. Yeah, we don't do hospital grade sterilization, but we definitely wanted to find somebody that knew all about sterilization, kind of knew everything through and through. Since sterilization is a big risk for our organization, any organization that's a sterilization. So I took the CRCST. It was a good test. I'm really happy. I found iPREP to help me get there.

Which section of the test was the most challenging for you?

Dena Haswell: For me on the CRCST, I feel like the most challenging part of the test was more so like the receiving cleaning and decontamination part mainly because that was like the majority of the questions that I got. But overall I ended up passing it. So I did pretty good.

How was your overall testing experience?

Dena Haswell: For me, my testing experience is really good. I really enjoyed being able to find iPREP, you know, I felt really confident in like making that purchase because you guys had really good reviews. It really helped like gain my confidence and being able to like pace myself, calm down, kind of know that I had like plenty of time. So I really appreciated that the that the practice tests are timed. And then it gives you like real time feedback. And so that was really helpful. It helped me like narrow down the areas that I needed to kind of work on the most prior to the test. So, so yeah, I feel like it really went well. The practice was nice. I was able to get my test done in an hour when the whole test is like three hours. So I had plenty of time to kind of go back in and recheck all my stuff and I wouldn't have known that like that whole test is gonna take me a good hour if I didn't do those practice tests that iPREP provided. So I was very thankful for that?

How would you recommend future test takers get ready for the test?

Dena Haswell: I feel like to get ready for the CRCST. I mean, obviously using iPREP is really good. Once you kind of get to that point and you've like done all you can to kind of follow like the exam, study guide, the exam, study guides are really, really good. It's definitely to the t what is on the test is obviously takes time to like get those answers, find those answers. And so iPREP does provide a lot of those answers for you. So kind of cuts back your time on like going through the material, finding the answers. But even if you use iPREP towards the end of your study, and you're just kind of doing the practice test and trying to get your head around, to kind of test your knowledge and everything that you've kind of taken all the reference material you read. I think it will definitely give you the confidence that you need to kind of move forward.
