Speaker: Daniel Barraza, Local 134 GAN Test
Which test did you take and why you took it?
Daniel Barraza: I took the uh IBW 134 apprenticeship test. Um I took that one for communications or construction. I did it because that was what friends had recommended for me to take uh for the type of electricity work I want to get into.
Which section of the test was the most challenging for you?
Daniel Barraza: By far was the, uh, mechanical comprehension section of the test. Um, there's some questions where you're like, what does this have to do with being an electrician? But if you also take the start prep test day, uh, before taking this, uh, test, the, sorry, the instructor instructor pretty much explains why you need to know each one or what are they looking for. But the, uh mechanic comprehension test was really good. Uh, the section, the, the prep that we bought that I bought because, uh, it explains to you in detail how something works. And when you understand that, then next questions that come up, you can look for the answer because you understand it way better.
How was your overall testing experience?
Daniel Barraza: Yeah, by far, like the prep was way harder, way harder. Um, the test itself made it seem easier, which is good. It conditioned you to be prepared to take a test like that of that magnitude. Um, the test questions were harder, the length, uh, on the reading comprehension was longer. Um, the time limit was more stricter. So it really helped you prepare for what you were going to take and that really helped out with all the test taking skills, uh, the habits, you know, going over your answers, everything. So it really helped with the buying the prep test.
