Which test did you take and why you took it?
Missy Deneen: I took HSPA CRCST test because I have no experience in sterile processing. And I want to turn my certification because I figured that it would help me get a job.
Which section of the test was the most challenging for you?
Missy Deneen: The most challenging part of the test is carefully reading the questions because some of them are kind of like a trick questions that's trying to trip you up or confuse you. And like some of them can seem like there's more than one answer. But for those, you just have to go with the one that makes the most sense.
How was your overall testing experience?
Missy Deneen: As far as the testing experience goes, um, I don't suggest bringing anything with you other than your driver's license or an ID because they will make you put all your belongings in a locker and they just give you a key. So that when you go to the test, you know, when you go to take the test, you only just have your key. And ID, if you have anything else, they will disqualify you and you can't go back to your locker until you're done with the test.
How would you recommend future test takers get ready for the test?
Missy Deneen: To prepare for this test. I used HSPA's eighth edition textbook. I think the ninth edition is out now. But that and the various practice tests and quizzes that's available online. And I also made my own flash cards as long as you just find the time to study. Like, even if it's at night when the kids are asleep, like I had to do, you just gotta put it, say that time and you've got this.
