I'm the director of insurance outreach at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the Highway Loss Data Institute; two sister organizations dedicated to the mission of saving lives and preventing harm on our nation's roads. And I'm excited to #ReachNewHeights this Fall at In2Risk in November with my co-presenter, Jill Kirshman, manager of insurance analytics at CARFAX. Our session is titled Insuring the Modern Vehicle. And we're going to take a look at the impact of advanced driver assistance systems, or ADAS, on claim frequencies and severities. We'll explore why ADAS equipped vehicles seem to experience higher claim severities, we'll take a look at what happens when drivers deactivate these features and we'll take a look at whether or not these vehicles merit a discount.
