1. What projects does your committee work on?
Casper Hesp: Hi, my name is Casper Hesp and I'm currently the chair of the INREV Training and Education Committee. The goal of the committee is to help INREV improve the entire training programme. So that means the online courses, the live courses, but also important initiatives like for example, the INREV/Henley Certificate or for example, the INREV Mentorship programme. As a committee, we're currently helping INREV to see the possibilities of upscaling the total training programme in order to meet the high demand of members. I think a good example of this is the ESG course. First, it was only one course and now it's been split into two, a basic course and an advanced course. Secondly, we are also supporting INREV to launch the INREV Academy this year. This will give a clear overview to members, what type of INREV training courses they can do and what learning paths they can take. An important part of this is of course the Henley programme.
2. What is coming up next year?
Casper Hesp: For the coming year, we will continue to explore the possibilities to create new courses in order to respond to key industry trends. Of course, we will also look into the fact if we need to improve the current training programme or other important initiatives like the mentorship programme. Now, finally, we've looked at upscaling the current training program this year, but for next year, that's an important topic as well. If we need to upscale certain topics or certain training programmes.
3. What involvement (time and effort) is required to be on your committee?
Casper Hesp: As a committee, we meet several times a year, but we try to meet each other at least live two times a year. An important part of your role within the committee is that you also participate in at least two training courses a year. So you can give valuable input to the committee and INREV to further improve this training programme.
