Speaker: Anthony
What has been the IMPACT of this 12wk MMDX and retreat?
Anthony: How's it going? Everyone? Um The biggest impact that men's empowerment group had was I would say the intention and understanding of the vagus nerve and how to calm it down. It's very much needed. Um Especially when there's a lot of chaotic chaos and stressful times. It also the men's empowerment also taught me about bases. I have to create bases for myself when I have uh trauma triggers or anything that's like cause me unease and I can go back to the base if necessary, which is pretty healthy. It's been helping me a lot in my day to day life. Um The anger management, uh we went boxing and it taught me how to use a certain amount of my anger when necessary. And I can also control my emotional uh outbursts a little bit more with understanding of my emotions through that. I was able to integrate everything that I learned during that boxing match and use it in my day to day life. And now I'm actually intrigued by going to boxing, getting more classes. The I also came from a place where I was very closed off to the world. I was a lone wolf. I was uh what would society consider a Sigma? But I was very much to myself, I did not want to talk to, anyone didn't want to open up. And this opened me up. It made me realize that like it's ok to feel as a man and be emotional, like that's completely fine. And I think that's one of the biggest things that made me uh that shifted inside of me was my emotional um, acceptance. Yeah, definitely. Thank you.
How has this experience enhanced your partnership and/or relationship with yourself?
Anthony: The men's empowerment group shifted the way that I view myself. It's uh given me a little bit more confidence in myself and a little bit more understanding, definitely more grounding. I needed to ground myself because I was constantly in my head thinking and not being present in the moment. So I think the grounding part was um one of the biggest things that really shifted with myself and I'm really happy that that happened. I'm constantly working Johnny hug, trying to um better myself and evolve as a as a human. And I'm really grateful for the men's department showing me like um different ways to heal myself, like sitting down with micro doses in a healthy manner, with integrity, with security and feeling ok within myself. Um It also taught me that I always have to be constantly working on my physical, my mental spiritual. It's just a reminder and that is, it's what gives me that self love, have those goals, those intentions and really strive to do them and get them done. But also give myself the space to breathe, the space to relax the space, to come back to myself. And I think that that was like one of the most crucial points trying to go after your goals and mission.
How would you describe your experience in three words?
Anthony: They're words that I use for the men's empowerment, integration, openness and support.
