Brad Hutchinson: I'm Brad Hutchinson. I'm the road superintendent for the county Wellington.
Could you describe your overall experience with ProMelt winter liquids?
Brad Hutchinson: We've been using ProMelt liquids for many years now, we use it for both pre wetting material at the spinner and direct liquid application. Overall, our experience has been great. The product works really well and it has always been consistent.
How are ProMelt winter liquids different from other winter liquid options?
Brad Hutchinson: We like to use a ProMelt over say a salt brine mainly for the environmental reasons trying to keep the salt out of the environment. It also has a lower freeze point, which is also a big advantage.
What’s one story of success that wouldn’t have been possible without ProMelt winter liquids?
Brad Hutchinson: We had a winter storm a few years ago that it was a deep freeze that resulted in some hard packed snow and ice on our roads. It was too cold for the salt to be effective to try and burn it off or anything. So, we ended up using our DLA and spraying it which, softened it up enough that we could get the plows and clear the road. We couldn't have did that with any other product.
On a scale of one to ten, how likely are you to recommend ProMelt winter liquids to others?
Brad Hutchinson: I'd give them a 10, Innovative has been great to work with any questions or problems we ever have. They're very quick to respond and help us out. I've given many tours to different municipalities, that want to look at our setup, our tanks, our trucks and ask any questions.
