What has working in mental health care meant to you?
Ashley Kjos: Everyone deserves affordable, high-quality health care, which includes mental health and substance use services. As a mental health professional, I get to help individuals grow and develop to create personal change in their lives and reach their goals. As a CEO of a CCBHC, I get to grow and change systems of care so we can revolutionize our care-delivery system. Working in behavioral health care, to me, really means the opportunity to create growth and connections to transform lives and transform our health care system.
