Speaker: Vanessa Montez, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Vanessa Montez: Hello, my name is Vanessa Montez and I am one of the licensed clinical social workers here at innovaTel. And today I wanted to share with you a mindfulness tip. Now as a busy mom of three boys, I understand how difficult and crazy life can be sometimes. And I will be honest and say that the idea of mindfulness was very foreign to me prior to becoming a mother. And then after becoming a mother, I felt like it just wasn't attainable. Fast forward to now, mindfulness is something that I practice every day. And for me, one practice that I do every day is giving myself at least 15 minutes each day to do something that I enjoy, whether that means reading my favorite book, listening to my favorite song that I haven't heard in a long time, doing some yoga or maybe taking a walk outside. And so I really do take time every day to care for myself. And for me, I feel that is the time for me to reset, get some clarity, give myself some grace and I can be really present for the rest of the day. And so for me that is my mindfulness tip. I would challenge you to find space and time in your day to give back to yourself. What is one thing that you can do for yourself today?
