Tell us about your company, your team, and your role?
Ken Harvey: Hi. I'm Ken Harvey. I'm the warehouse manager for Loudoun Water. A water utility in Loudon County Virginia. We offer both water and wastewater services throughout the county.
What prompted you to search for a connected worker platform and what problems were you trying to solve?
Ken Harvey: My team started looking for a connected worker platform around 2015. I found after we moved to SAP Materials management in 2014-2015 timeframe, that most of my workforce was tied to their computers, for goods issues, goods receipts, counting, and all the materials management things that we offer. I needed something for them to get away from their computers. We did a full-blown procurement and we had several offers and we found that Innovapptive had the best quality, price, and fit our needs the best of anyone that came in.
What Innovapptive solution(s) are you using and how have they benefited your team?
Ken Harvey: We currently use Innovapptive solutions... all of the solutions that were offered to us in the linked platform, if you will. We do goods issues, goods receipts, counting - the full slate of SAP lookups. And we've done nothing. We've had nothing but great, great things to say about the program.
What has your organization been able to achieve by using Innovapptive?
Ken Harvey: One of the big achievements for us was getting our people away from the computers which they were when it was just SAP. We had to do goods receipts at the dock, run back to the computer, find the PO. Do the goods receipt in SAP, upload the PO, and all of that. Now we can do that right on the dock. The POs are in the system. We can look them up right there on the handheld. We can scan them in... Scan in all the materials and do put-away right then and there. We no longer have to go back and forth to our desktop computers. Another thing that we found was beneficial to the company was just the reduction in paper and paperwork that we stored. Where we used to store all of our POs in a binder with the packing slip attached to it and so on. So we had hundreds of binders and full of paper of course. And paper is very expensive. So we've been able to reduce our paper usage in the inventory warehouse by about probably 95%. We've sped up all of our processes because if we're in the warehouse no matter what we're doing, we can open up the application and off we go. We can scan, we can look at how many we're supposed to have, we can do account right there, we can do adjustments. So it's been really beneficial. We've we've really sped up our processes Probably across the board by at least 50 percent.

Ken Harvey: I would recommend Innovapptive solutions to anyone looking for a deep platform solution, a mobile solution that's connected directly to SAP or any other materials management module, for that matter, but especially for SAP.
