Maria McClay: Hi my name is Maria McLay and I lead our Fashion and Beauty Cloud team.
How has allyship impacted your career? What advice would you give to other leaders about how to show up as an ally?
Maria McClay: Alice Ship has definitely impacted my career, in particular by giving me the confidence and support to go for opportunities that I might not have necessarily gone for otherwise. In terms of advice that I give to other leaders about how to show up as an ally, first and foremost is to listen. Listen to what is said and listen to what is not said and just as important being an ally is also taking action. It might not be easy, it might not be perfect, but by trying and standing up for others as well as taking action to help support those that you are practicing allyship with, it would be greatly appreciated.
