Speakers: Alejandra Ruesga, 2022 INCPAS Educational Foundation Scholarship Recipient
Alejandra Ruesga: Hello everyone! My name is Alejandra Ruesga and I used to be an INCPAS Scholar back in my senior year of high school, which was 2019 all the way to 2020. Right now I am in Marian University and I am triple majoring in accounting, finance and Spanish. I'm expected to graduate in June of 2024.
You received the INCPAS Educational Foundation scholarship last year. What impact did it have on your academic goals?
Alejandra Ruesga: So back in 2021, I was able to receive the CPA Educational Foundation scholarship. And this scholarship has helped me in so many ways. For one in the financial aspect of it, I was able to pay for books tuition and mandatory meal plans. And that has alleviated the financial pressure from me. But I think the most important impact that it has had on me has been on the professional side because this scholarship is very prestigious, is very known among the accounting community. And this has helped in a lot of opportunities for future internships, a lot of people kind of know me because I received the scholarship and it has helped me network around on my own campus but outside so it could be easier to find potential future employment. So I am very grateful for receiving the scholarship and thank you very much.
