INTRODUCTION:

Jason Landrum: Hello. My name is Jason Landrum. I'm Sedgwick's Global Chief Information Officer. Our submission is titled The Future of Claims Powered by One Digital Ecosystem. Our submission is in the Property and Casualty category.

IMPACT: What is the scope of the problem being solved by your innovation?

Jason Landrum: When we think about the future of claims at Sedgwick, Omni was the name that we chose to give to our one digital ecosystem. The name Omni, if you look it up, means all or everything. And so when you think about the scope of the problem that we're trying to solve, really what we're trying to do is solve for every part of the claims journey that exists, whether it's from FNOL all the way to payment and claim closure and settlement. So, As we think through how Omni impacts all of the different parts of a claim, the scope of that problem that we're, we're covering is really the entire claim's life cycle and everything that's included in that.

CREATIVITY: How does this innovation stand apart from alternatives in the marketplace?

Jason Landrum: Sedgwick and Sedgwick's product Omni differentiate us in the industry in two ways. One, because we own our technology, we're like a software company where we have thousands of engineers working to build the product that we work on as part of the tool set that we use. But because it is proprietary, we're able to integrate AI fast and efficiently into workflows that make a difference in the outcome of claims, not just for integrating for the purpose of saying that we have AI, but actually driving a better claims process. And the second way that we differentiate ourselves is because it's our technology and our users that are using the platform, we're actually able to change the workflow to be as frictionless as possible in the claims process.

SCALABILITY: How can this innovation be leveraged to enhance its impact?

Jason Landrum: AI is continuing to evolve every single day. As Omni continues to evolve with this technology, we're able to continue to make advancements in the claims process, reducing cycle times, reducing total cost of risk for our customers, improving claims outcomes, improving client satisfaction. So for us, the, the way that this leverage can continue to be advanced is that as the technology continues to improve, we're going to find more and more ways to help with the claims process, not to remove the human touch from the process, but remove mundane tasks that allow us to focus humans on only what humans can do, and that is reaching out, talking to people, making the impacts where we can from a person to person standpoint. And leveraging the technology to take care of all of the rest of the things, making it truly a frictionless process.
