Speaker: Maverick Clissold, Owner & Director | My Right 2 Voice PTY LTD
1. Tell us about you and your company. This is a chance for you to share your business to the world.
Maverick Clissold: Hey team, my name's Maverick Clissold. I'm the director, owner, and a behaviour support practitioner at My Right 2 Voice. We're based out of Western Melbourne. And we've been working within the NDIS space since 2019. We offer a range of services including positive behaviour support, specialist support coordination, wholistic counselling. And workshops and consultation within PBS, including supervision. Our goal as a company is to engage in systemic change and to improve the sector for all. We want to make sure that everybody has the right to be heard. And to provide person centred care, these are high standard evidence informed and relevant to the individual.
2. What were you searching for in a software solution before finding iinsight?
Maverick Clissold: When we originally signed up to iinsight, we were trying to find something that was affordable and integrated with Xero. That met high quality standards including two-step authentication for privacy and confidentiality. And made our life a little bit easier and more efficient in the NDIS world, which could be a quite complex and ever-changing space. iinsight wasn't only affordable for our small business, but also allowed for the opportunity for bulk invoicing and clear case noting, privacy, oversight, not only with two-step authentication, but also in relation to ease of accessibility and user management. And since our time using iinsight, it's now got HR features and some other really cool things too, which we don't typically take advantage of because we've already got our own HR system, but it's still really great that there's this ongoing consideration of updating and improving the system. I think that one of my favourite things about iinsight at the moment is its newest features with AI and an online chat tool. They've also got a tickets and a suggestions feature which is really easy to be able to access. There's also a direct connection with some of the individuals from iinsight as well, so through that chat, if AI can't help, then a direct representative will be in touch with you within about a 24 hour period. They're quite nice, friendly, considerate, empathetic, and I truly believe they try their best to continue to provide a service that really listens to the, the consumer.
3. Can you share any examples of how iinsight has improved your operations?
Maverick Clissold: I think one of the biggest things that iinsight provided to us all the way back in 2020 when we originally signed up is, efficiency. Majority of the individuals that we work with providing specialist support coordination and behaviour support or agency managed, which means that our invoicing typically goes straight to the NDIS. And they have this feature where you can upload a bulk invoice. Typically you might need to create this by hand or export from your finance software, but not with iinsight. There's a button. through their system called the invoice wizard, which just automatically creates this bulk template suited to the NDIS upload portal, and you click a few buttons and off it goes. The other thing that I think is really great about iinsight is. It is quite user friendly, so. There's a series of tabs that could be tailored towards a company's need. We haven't had to play around with that too much since our initial induction and, there are a lot of useful guides online into how to change things yourself. There are restrictions for what you can do individually, except I think that's the same for any software system. The flexibility within this system to, to make changes independent of the software engineer is available, which is really cool. Yeah, I think they're probably the main things. Well, actually, I'll share one more thing as well. This is a really honest reflection. We have raised feedback to iinsight that might not be remedied immediately. I think that that's really common. I don't think that we always receive immediate remedy. I actually think there's a lot of competing priorities for all of the software systems that we utilise within this space. But I do get an immediate response. I get this really considerate and authentic opportunity to be able to be heard and understood, and also to be able to understand what's happening for iinsight in relation to its competing priorities too. Even one of their main developers, Leon Chay, has a bookings page for anybody to be able to book in a 30 to 60 minute meeting with him, to have a conversation, this direct conversation around any concerns, queries, or even positive feedback, and I just think that's brilliant, I just don't think that you get that really anywhere else. You will always have problems. They might not always be able to be solved. But being able to express those things in a safe way and to have a potential solution or some plan put in place, is not the norm and it's really helpful.
4. What advice would you give to other people who are currently looking for a Software Platform?
Maverick Clissold: I think that when you're looking for a software platform, it's good to find things that have strong integration. It doesn't matter what platform you're trying to find, there are so many great ones out there. But the reason that we went with iinsight. Was in consideration of efficiency and what we utilise. The integrations with Microsoft, with our website, with our, with Xero, with our accounting software, it made a lot of sense. Into how all of these things intertwine and connect with one another for ease of accessibility and automation, and this just continues to expand. That's probably the other thing that I think is important. You wanna choose a software that is always open to innovation and continuous improvement. When you have a software that isn't always developing, updating and changing in a space that requires it, well, that's not really beneficial within the disability sector specifically, so. You want to make sure that you're choosing a software platform that suits your company needs, not just. One for the sake of it, or one that's been around for a long time, you want one that is adapting to what you need it to adapt to.
5. Ultimately - tell us why you chose iinsight and not another software?
Maverick Clissold: We chose iinsight over other software because it fit our company needs it, it was a reflection of the services that we were providing and the challenges that we were experiencing. The connection between iinsight and Xero as well is something that's quite unique. There aren't a lot of softwares that do it, there are some, but there, there are not a lot. And the continuous improvement of the programme and the software, the openness to improve, I think is, is a really key quality. I'm not sure what other softwares are typically like. I, I have minimal experience with a lot of them, but there's a personalised touch with iinsight in comparison to the ones that I have used. The ability to reach out, provide feedback, even the opportunity to be able to receive feedback from the direct developers is few and far between, we do not experience that anywhere else within our company at the moment, and I personally haven't experienced it with any of the other softwares that we utilise so. Yeah, I guess that in summary, we chose iinsight over other softwares because of the integrations and the personalised approach.
