Please introduce yourself and tell us what department you work in. What do you enjoy most about your job or the team that you work with?
Angela Holian: Hi, my name is Angela Holian. I am a clinical specialty pharmacist and I work in the UVA neurology, clinic specializing in multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology. And I work very closely in the clinic setting with the providers here, the neurologists who focus in neuroimmunology. I work very closely with patients here really what I, what I love most about my position and, and my job is the opportunity to work alongside just an incredible team, both within the clinic setting as well as across the entire pharmacy and the specialty pharmacists and the inpatient pharmacists. It's just, it's a great team and people are very willing to um to collaborate and, and to be involved with doing whatever we need to do for the betterment of patient care. Really, the collaboration with physicians, nurses, and then the other members of our multi-disciplinary team. It creates just a supportive environment, a collegial environment where really everyone is truly focused on patient care. I love being a part of the patient experience, following patients over time, getting to see the impact of our efforts on their care, their health, their quality of life, and seeing what our efforts do. In terms of helping them get on therapies and stay on therapies and really follow them throughout that process. It's especially rewarding to help implement new treatments directly in the clinic setting. I've had opportunities to do that. And this helps to bring innovative therapies to patients and it's often more efficient, more effective for these, these patients to have access- easy access- to these therapies in the clinic setting. I also appreciate being part of an organization where leadership is open to new ideas and they're very supportive of ongoing professional development. Thank you very much.
