Chris: Hi, my name's Chris Thomas, and this is a short review of the House Buyer Bureau. I required a reasonable quick sale of my property, i.e. no chain, and hopefully with less stress than normal. I was aware of potential issues when using properties for cash companies, but knew what to expect and was aware that I would receive a lower price for the property than if going down the traditional path. After some initial res research, HBB came recommended through The Advisory, which provided some reassurance. From the get-go, communications were clear. Both Dorothy and Kerrie were friendly to deal with and always available. If I had any queries or required any advice. They were always at hand The whole process was pretty straightforward and could have been completed much faster than it was, however, all the delays were on my part, with illness, long work hours, and limited time for clearing the property of what amounted to probably 2 houses' worth of musical and a plethora of other equipment. The survey was carried out and the firm offer which was accepted was made. Also by accepting the solicitors of their choice, there were minimal fees to be paid upon completion. The exchange went ahead shortly afterwards, and the completion date was set. Upon request, I received a 10% deposit which came in handy for acquiring a new home and also, as things turned out, for some emergency repairs to the roof after the discovery of a hole which had gone unnoticed in the survey. Roofers thought that it was from a lightning strike. However, HBB were understanding, and after putting back the completion date a couple of times myself, the sale was finally completed. HBB were a pleasure to deal with all throughout and as stated previously, any stress and delays were solely on my part. I can wholeheartedly recommend using House Buyer Bureau, if you are wanting a quick sale and are willing to accept a lower price than the actual market value. All that's left to say are basically is thank you House Buyer Bureau.
