Please introduce yourself. What were the challenges before working with Higher Purpose Accounting?
Amanda : Hello! I'm Amanda Coleman-Watson from Greystanes Disability Services. I'm the Chief Executive Officer here, and I want to do a shout out to Steven Franks from Higher Purpose Accounting. Steven, came into our organisation in a period of change management. He initially came in as a consultant and then we employed him as our, Remote Chief Finance Officer to assist us through a period of change. Steven has been critical in making really important decisions. And bringing in the expertise we needed during that time of change management. Steven helped implement a new client case management system and just get all the financial procedures in place that we were needing. I cannot recommend Steven more highly. His calm, considered approach and ability to work with a range of personalities and just see that everyone gets on the bus going in the same direction. It was incredible. Really lovely to work with. And I certainly will work with Steven again in the future. Bye bye.
What did we do to overcome the challenges?
Amanda : Steven helped, um, overcome the challenges through simply explaining financial procedures with us that helped greatly, and also assisted me, in my role to make it a executive decision that was considered with his financial expertise, that outsourcing accounting was a really wise decision. And that has been extremely successful.
What has now changed since Steven worked with the business?
Amanda : Ah, what's changed? Since working with Steven, um, in terms of running our business smoothly, smoothly, Ah, it's we've increased cash flow, so that has improved the business dramatically. Non for profits, run so slim and so ensuring things like transport was billed We were leaking lots of little areas where the, non for profit charity had simply sort of been covering costs that we hadn't even really monitored. And through implementing an online case management system and billing digitally. We were a very old school paper-based system. This has improved efficiency dramatically and also the time incurred in, running financial procedures. It also has brought solid, expertise through the outsourcing of accounting. And that was really through Steven's, meetings with external teams that helped us make that decision.
