What about your work with HFLI brings you joy or value personally?
Brent Ott: I find joy in seeing students, teachers and really learners of all ages come out of workshops and programs. HFLI puts on fully immersed with new skill sets that they need to help them thrive in the world we live in today.
What is a signature HFLI program or story that you can share in which HFLI’s work makes a difference in our world? Tell us about it.
Brent Ott: When I think of a signature program from HFLI, that's really impactful, it's more the more recent ones. It's Latina Leaders by Design. And to me, this is a great program that really engages Latina young leaders and immerses them with cohorts of individuals of similar backgrounds, to really embrace that leadership mentality the thought process and really helps propel them forward, which I just find very inspiring. It's great to see all the success and the camaraderie that these groups have together. I'm looking forward to this program in the future. It has.
Imagine HFLI is on the cover of a major publication 5 years in the future. What would be the headline? What would be the story?
Brent Ott: When I think of a cover, what the headline could look like to me, it's HFLI continues to push forward and break down barriers to really immerse individuals in design thinking.
