What is one of your big take-aways from our ARC Experience? Describe how you will bring that into your practice as an educator.
I think one of my biggest takeaways from this experience is that vulnerability equals strength as an educator and to just have a very strong sense of self know who you are, be confident in who that is and just be you and be okay to make mistakes in front of your students and own up to that vulnerability because they will see that as a strength.
If you were to recommend this experience to a colleague, what would you share and why?
I would definitely recommend this experience to a colleague. I think we need this work at our school in particular and culturally responsive teaching. And I think this experience can give a lot of ways to put culturally responsive teaching into the classroom in practical ways.
