What is one of your big take-aways from our ARC Experience? Describe how you will bring that into your practice as an educator.
One big takeaway from my experiences with HFLI was how creating trusting relationships with students is one of the most important aspects of teaching. If learners are experiencing rushings of stress hormones such as cortisol learning becomes impossible. And we as educators have a mandate to ensure all students are learning. So moving forward, I hope to have more one on one conversations with my students, for example, around creating learning packs in order to develop those relationships with students that are centered around trust and mutual concern.
