Anita Smiley: When I think of how Heroes Care has impacted my life, I think of three words, support, options, and hope. I want to say thank you so much to Heroes Care for supporting me and my family through these times. I lost my husband to suicide. It's been about 11 years and we have two children together. Due to some circumstances around his death, we were not able to qualify for a lot of benefits or things of that nature. So, I really want to thank Heroes Care for stepping in, filling in those potholes, and helping us out with Mission Depot. Helping us get groceries and clothing and shoes and coats, and everything you can think of. And that's the support piece. And, then there is the hope piece. Because I lost my husband to suicide. I feel like I didn't have much hope in just anything like getting help, being a good mom, being able to do what I needed to do. Heroes Care has provided hope for me. The volunteers are amazing every time I go, they're sweet, they're nice. And I can tell that they love what they do.
