Speaker: Jeana Casparro
Start by letting us know who you are and why you are applying for the Hearing and Brain Centers of America
Jeana Casparro: Hi, my name is Gina Casaro. I'm a current college student at Western Governors University Online and I'm close to finishing my degree in accounting. I've taken a vast variety of college classes from computer science, teaching marketing and of course finance. I describe myself as an enthusiastic and dedicated professional, ready to expand my skill set and evolve within your dynamic company. The reason I'm applying to the Hearing and brain Centers of America is because I do have a strong desire to learn and contribute to the growth and success of an organization. I want to be a part of something bigger than myself. And I see that within your organization, people coming together at work who are passionate and want to be there and it's their career. And I'm looking for a career. I want to be surrounded by people that are going to help, boost me up and I want to help, boost them up and just really work together as a team and make sure that all the patients are taken care of and are happy.
Why should we hire you?
Jeana Casparro: There are two main reasons why I think you should hire me for the hearing and brain centers of America. The first reason to be my experience. So I currently work as an accounts payable clerk and closing coordinator. I also do reception and customer service. Before that, I worked as a mortgage loan officer where I had to gain the trust of people over the phone in order to collect sensitive information like social security numbers. And I never met them. And then before that, I worked as a special ed paraprofessional at Diamond Ranch Academy. So it's the troubled youth. Um and I had to really communicate with them. Communication was key. That was the main part of my job um talking to them and convincing them to take a different path in life. Um First would be my experience. Second would be because I'm seeking a career where I can develop both personally and professionally and make a meaningful impact on others. And I see that in your company, um that's what you guys are doing and I want to be a part of that.
What is your greatest accomplishment so far?
Jeana Casparro: My greatest accomplishment yet would have to be moving here to Saint George Utah five years ago. So I came from Palmdale California, moved to Saint George Utah. And I have grown significantly as a person. I've become more confident and I've found myself and I have this hard working mindset being here. There's so many successful people that you get to be surrounded by and it's just great to see that and to have something to aspire to work towards. So that would be my greatest accomplishment is just stepping out of my comfort zone. I didn't know anyone here. I came here and it has been great so far. Um I'm currently in the process of purchasing my third home. Um So that's very exciting and I recently became a landlord. So those would have to be my greatest accomplishments.
Describe your ‘perfect’ day?
Jeana Casparro: I'm going to describe my perfect day as in if it's a work day and I would say I'm pretty simple on workdays. Um, but it's a constant 70 degrees. Ok. I wake up, I'm having coffee, I'm playing with the dogs. Um, before I get ready and head to work where I'm surrounded by really enthusiastic professionals and we're all working together to get done working individually. Um, lunchtime runs around and we're getting Jimmy Johns, then we're heading back to the office, finishing up our work for the day, making sure that our customers are satisfied and that everything is taken care of before we head home where I would go to my in-laws for dinner. We're making smash burgers. Everyone's hanging out, we watch a movie. Um, we eat popcorn or ice cream and just hang out and enjoy each other and maybe go swimming if the weather is probably better than 70 at that point. But, and then I head home, hang out with my dogs some more and watch a movie and go to bed.
In the next 3-5 years where do you see yourself personally and professionally. Share as many details as you are comfortable with.
Jeana Casparro: In 3 to 5 years. On the personal level, I see myself married with at least one child. I also see myself in the process of purchasing our fourth home and having two rental properties at that point. And then on the professional level, I do see myself in a manager position where I've worked my way up and really proven myself and proving my skills in your company. Um I really am looking for a career where I can stay and I can grow and I can move my way up. So that is the goal and that's where I see myself.
Who do you think of for; motivation, inspiration and direction? Why
Jeana Casparro: For motivation, inspiration and direction. I really do go to my future in laws. Um They adjust every day, they live their best lives. They've worked so hard to retire early and to have this great life for them and their kids and I really aspire to be like them. So with any minor major inconvenience in life, I am going to them and I am asking for help. Like what do I do? Because they really do give great advice and I look up to them so much um for that reason, they are my inspiration and I am just so thankful to be a part of their life.
What gives you a sense of Purpose?
Jeana Casparro: What gives me a sense of purpose would have to be my family and my boyfriend. So my boyfriend is actually a police officer and I hear all the crazy stories, the things that you do not hear in the news, the things that they keep hidden from the news and it really gives me a purpose to do more in life, help anyone I can, um, be the bigger person. And it really gives me my drive to be successful because I know what can happen when you take the bad path in life and we're not here for that. So my sense of purpose comes from my boyfriend.
What does success look like to you?
Jeana Casparro: Success to me comes in two different forms. The first form being, how do you feel? Are you making a difference? Are you happy at work? Are you appreciated? That would make me feel very successful if I'm making a difference? And the second would be, how are you being compensated? Are you being compensated correctly? That would also make me feel very successful?
What would be your top 3 book recommendations regardless of genre and why?
Jeana Casparro: So I have read a lot of books. Um, I actually have some right here, so I'm just going to show you my top three right now. If you were to ask me, it could change tomorrow. But first we're going Verity by Colleen Hoover. This book is really going to make you think. Like, what did I just read? What just happened? Who do I believe? I don't know. So you can have lots of discussions with your friends about this book, but you guys all might have different opinions and you'll never know the true what happened. You'll never know. Um, next, I'm going beautiful disaster. This is more of a romance. Um, it's with the nerdy girl and the bad boy and it's just a cute story. He's a boxer. She's like a girl who played poker growing up and has a really awful dad who used her in poker. It's just good story worth reading or you can watch the movie. I think it's on Hulu now as a movie. So either way, very good. And then last is a book that I never would have thought I would have ever read. Um, it's Fourth Wing it's basically like how to train your dragons for adults. And it's a beautiful book. Um, and it's a thriller also. It's crazy. There's so many things that happen, but it's so fun to read. Um, but yeah, those would be my top three books.
