Speaker: Jessica Ezell
Start by letting us know who you are, what position you are applying, and in what city/state.
Jessica Ezell: My name is Jessica. Is I am applying for medical office manager in Weatherford Texas.
Why should we hire you?
Jessica Ezell: I believe you should hire me. Um, because I am very self sufficient, very detail oriented. I have managed many jobs. Um Most recent that I managed was a nursing home where I was responsible for about 30 staff and 100 and 20 different residents under my care. I did that for about six months. Um And then I decided to move into a different direction with my medical experience.
What is your greatest accomplishment so far?
Jessica Ezell: Professionally. My greatest accomplishment so far would be becoming, um, the wellness director of Clear Fork assisted living. I worked my way up through the company very quickly. And when entrusted with that job, did so to the best of my ability until I could no longer balance my work and home life. Personal. My greatest accomplishment is four years ago, I decided to better my home situation and I left my husband and I went from having absolutely nothing for me and my Children to now having a home of our own vehicle of our own. You know, and my kids don't really want for anything anymore. And it is through hard work and dedication that I have been able to accomplish this.
Describe your ‘perfect’ day?
Jessica Ezell: My perfect day would be a day at the lake with my kids. They're big water bugs and they really love being outside and I love watching them do things that they enjoy and being in the water with them playing and splashing around and having picnics under the tree and then going home and having a movie night with them, followed by, you know, popcorn and candy and sodas and laughing and having good quality time with my kids.
In the next 3-5 years where do you see yourself personally and professionally. Share as many details as you are comfortable with.
Jessica Ezell: In 3 to 5 years professionally. I hope that I have been able to accomplish my nursing degree, which I am going to be trying to start in the next year. Um, I know it is going to take a lot of blood, sweat and tears and a lot of time management on my part. But it is something that I have always dreamed of doing. And that is the ultimate goal with my career. Personally, I would like to be better set financially. We are in an ok spot now, but I would like to buy a home with a little bit of land for my kids to run around and just love being kids. We're very outdoors people and, you know, we have a cat and a dog and, and would really just be able to enjoy our lives.
Who do you think of for; motivation, inspiration and direction? Why
Jessica Ezell: This one is an easy one. I look to my mom for any sort of motivation and inspiration. She has been my biggest guiding light my whole life and she always supports our dreams and our ambitions. And my mom lived a very rough life and was able to come back and build this wonderful life for herself, raising me and my sisters on her own. And I've kind of followed in her footsteps in that. So anytime I really need to dig down deep and find that motivation and inspiration or I need help, kind of figuring out my next move. I always go to her.
What gives you a sense of Purpose?
Jessica Ezell: My Children give me a sense of purpose. Everything that I do is for them, everything that I want to achieve in my life is for them. They are the greatest thing I've ever done in my life. Um I mean, they're my world. Um and helping people. I have a very big caring, nurturing, giving heart and I love taking care of people. And when I have a career that is based upon helping people or even in my personal life, helping people, it makes me really happy.
What does success look like to you?
Jessica Ezell: Success to me. I mean, obviously, financially I would like to be comfortable. I don't have to be well to do, but I would like to be comfortable and not really have to worry about anything. Um, but it also means that whatever job I am doing, if I can end my day knowing that I helped make someone smile or I made their day just a little bit better or I was able to help them out in some way. That's a success for me.
What would be your top 3 book recommendations regardless of genre and why?
Jessica Ezell: I would have to say my first would be a million little pieces. It is a story of a man who lived in addiction and really hit rock bottom physically, emotionally mentally and it took him going to rehab and finding God for him to really dig himself out and build a better life for himself. Uh My second book would be, I can only imagine. And it is about this little boy who had passed away. Well, he had died for a couple of minutes and in the process of that couple of minutes, he had this whole meeting with God and really got an understanding of what it meant to be a Christian and to be at the feet of our father. And he got better and went on to tell his story. And there were a lot of non believers that didn't believe that this happened to him. But there was also this huge following of people that, that believed this is what he had seen and it was truly an inspiration to read. I then watched the movie and it had me in tears the whole time. I don't really have a third book off the top of my head, but a little side note, don't mind my appearance today. I've been out door dashing since about seven o'clock this morning and it is now almost noon. I'm looking a little rough today. I'm so sorry. I've got to make money for my kid's birthday.
