How painful, limiting, or life impacting was your hearing loss or tinnitus before visiting our office?
Vicky Long : Well, it really wasn't painful or limiting, I didn't think, but I didn't know that I had lost, uh, the amount of hearing that I did, uh, before coming to the office.
What are the positive changes in hearing, reduced tinnitus, improved memory, robust relationships you've experienced with treatment?
Vicky Long : Irr, I can hear better. I know I can and, uh, the sound has really diminished. Sometimes, sometimes it's loud. I know it takes time but, uh, I can hear better. I know I can. So I'm, I'm really happy with the treatment.
What were your top concerns when deciding to treat your hearing loss?
Vicky Long : Well, I didn't, like I say, I didn't know that I had, had hearing loss. I just wanted to get rid of the noise. That's, that's what my main purpose was for, uh, coming to the office.
How would you describe your treatment experience with Hearing and Brain Centers?
Vicky Long : Well, it's been a wonderful experience because the, the people, the team here, they're wonderful. They just treat you like family and it's, uh, it's wonderful to know you can come anytime or call any time and get help that, that you need. So, uh uh anybody who is experiencing tinnitus, they should come here.
How important was Dr. Darrow's book and pre-education to your treatment journey?
Vicky Long : Well, the symposium I went to was very enlightening. I, well, he, he really, he really opened my eyes to how we hear with our, with our brain and not with our ears. And um what happens from that, from your ear to your brain for hearing? Uh It was very enlightening. I'm, I am so glad I went and found out about it.
What is the #1 thing you would tell friends or family who struggle with hearing loss/tinnitus about seeking treatment right away?
Vicky Long : Don't wait, go and get tested and just see how much you really are missing by the noises that we hear and, and your hearing loss, especially if it's, uh, in your family.
