Speaker: Michael Harvey

Tell us about your Guitar journey before you discovered Steve Stine and GuitarZoom.

Michael Harvey: I have always loved guitar music, particularly. I love rock and roll, little bluesy stuff, and I have always loved guitar music, have bought and sold two or three guitars over the years and gotten frustrated and given up and you know, I didn't think I would ever be able to play.

How would you describe the results you’ve seen in your personal playing and learning of the guitar?

Michael Harvey: You know, several years ago, I took in individual lessons, you know, and felt very similar to what steve had mentioned in this video, so I could really relate to it. I felt like, you know, every week, you know, when I would go to my classes, I would, you know, not be able to do everything perfectly. And uh, you know, it just seemed like it was a huge waste of time. And, you know, my teacher really didn't give me a lot of information. Two help support why I was doing what I was doing. So it would get very frustrating.

What was something you didn't expect from GuitarZoom that really surprised you?

Michael Harvey: what really surprised me about steve stein guitar zoom was initially I had been looking at videos as I think a lot of people do on the, on Youtube and whatnot. And you know, I ran across a couple of steve's short videos and, you know, for the first time, the way he shares information, he's talking to you, not at you, you know, and he, the way he shares information, I could really relate to it and understand it. Um, it was very refreshing, you know, from the other videos and classes that I had attempted to, you know, to do and have never finished. So, um, I definitely think having a teacher that can explain things in a way that even if you don't have a deep musical background, you know, he's, he's bringing you along the way. Um, you may not be an expert music theory when you begin obviously, but, you know, he gives you enough information to, I think, to, to help help you along the journey. And what's really refreshing to me is, you know, it's okay, you know, to not be perfect in everything and practice practice practice and, you know, it was just his way of teaching is very, very unique and refreshing to someone who really wanted to learn how to play, but had absolutely no musical background

If you have to compare GuitarZoom to any other alternative, what would you say?

Michael Harvey: I have just really started my guitar zoom, um learning. So I have a great deal to learn, but uh, thus far again, as I said previously, you know, I understand, you know, the information that's being shared and it's just a matter of me um doing the work, you know, practice on the days that you eat as steve says. So um I'm I'm I'm making progress for the, for the first time, so not just, you know, looking at some tab and you know, trying to play one song, but that's all I can do. You know, um I'm learning chords and, you know, bouncing and, you know, and scratching and memorization and, you know, things that, you know, help me to play a lot of different things. So I'm very, very excited on, you know, the progress I've made, I still have a lot of progress to to continue to build upon, but so far I'm very happy with it.

What would you say to someone who's thinking of signing up for a GuitarZoom Course?

Michael Harvey: I would say to anyone who um you know, would be interested in, you know, taking a guitar journey and learning how to play um steve, stein's guitar zoom course would absolutely be my number one suggested form of, of of learning. You know, I've tried, you know, the fender play and some other stuff and, you know, as I said previously, you know, some one on one classes and, you know, just oh my gosh, it just takes such a long, long period of time, you know, to do those things, not to mention, you know, you're you're trying to schedule classes, you have a full time job, you're, you know, it's just difficult, but, you know, when I have, you know, steve's guitar zoom course, I mean, it's it's a laptop away, you know, and I can practice in the evening, in the morning, on the weekends whenever I want. So, I'm very, very excited about doing it and would definitely recommend it.
