Speaker: Brian C.
Tell us about your Guitar journey before you discovered Steve Stine and GuitarZoom.
Brian C.: Yeah, just always bought books, you know, you gotta get, you know, tons of books on playing guitar. I'm kind of a visual guy. I have to see things on tab. I like that. I like seeing the tab. But I like the personal seeing you on the video, and getting personal instruction that way too. That's helps me kinda see how the bends are and the pull offs and that sort of thing. So it gives you more of an idea than just looking at tab of more of the expression and how the music should really go. Is when you hear it, or see someone like you playing it.
How would you describe the results you’ve seen in your personal playing and learning of the guitar?
Brian C.: Seeing your videos for the first time really, your course? I never had a guitar in my hand. I just I wanted to just take in these courses, so I haven't had a time to actually apply them yet, but I know that the way you teach and the way that you apply yourself and teach these courses it's something that I can use and apply, and I know that I can, it'll improve my playing a lot.
What was something you didn't expect from GuitarZoom that really surprised you?
Brian C.: Yeah I think what really surprised me was I went over to a friend's house and we played, we jammed for a little bit and then we sat down and watched TV and he turned on YouTube and you came up Steve Stine and so I was watching it and I had what's this guy gonna he's just talking and he's you know got long hair and you know what's guy gonna tell me you know what but totally caught me off guard and I went wow this guy is really good, he could shred and so that really surprised me and so right away I said yeah I gotta check this guy out and I'm a follower ever since.
If you have to compare GuitarZoom to any other alternative, what would you say?
Brian C.: Yeah, I don't know how to compare your courses to anything else. You know, you offer such a variety of stuff that, you know, a person can spend, you know, a long time on different courses that you offer and and really get a lot out of it. And so I don't know if there's any other course that I would really wanna that I would really want to take because I haven't mastered this one. So and it's fun to just go through your courses and and see what I'll find, but it's exactly what I'm looking for. I don't want to play like Van Halen, I don't want to play like Led Zeppelin. It's nice to do cover tunes, but I want to be able to have things that I can use with. I'm playing blues or if I'm playing rock in a category jazz, I'd be able to be able to pull something out of the hat and your courses offered this
What would you say to someone who's thinking of signing up for a GuitarZoom Course?
Brian C.: Let's see. All right. I've already recommended a few people try your courses. Because I've told them what I've been doing with your courses and and how it's inspired me. And I think just from that conversation alone it might give them the go ahead for them to take the lesson. If they see how how fired up I am. Anyway yeah I've recommended your courses to several people so you know who knows? Well we'll see but you know if they see that I'm inspired maybe it'll inspire them to to take your courses Couldn't hurt.
