Can you share a little about your background and experience? What led you to join GTS Transportation as a remote team member?
Stefan Novaković: Hello, team. My name is Stefan. I'm working remotely for GTS Transportation company as an IT specialist and my areas of expertise are networking administrator and a system administrator. My experience before GTS was working for the IT companies that are providing almost the same services as I am for it. Yes. So it is managing user data uh enabling them to work remotely or in the office, helping them to finish their own daily tasks and for everything to work smoothly. And as it should, what led me to join GTS as a remote member was my colleague, Marko who invited me to work with him and I'm grateful to him.
How have you found your experience working remotely for GTS so far? What aspects of the job do you enjoy the most?
Stefan Novaković: Working remotely for GTS uh has been enriching experience. I appreciate the flexibility and the opportunity to collaborate with all diverse teams across various time zones. Because this uh has allowed me to broaden my perspective and improve my ability to manage um tasks sufficiently regardless of location. The aspect I enjoy the most is the continuous uh learning environment. Being the part of GTS provides me constant uh exposure to new technologies and methodologies which keeps me engaged and motivated. Additionally, the support and the cameras with the remote team have made the experience both productive and enjoyable.
What motivates you to stay with GTS, and how do you feel about the company's culture and support for remote employees?
Stefan Novaković: Yeah. Yeah. Uh What motivates you to stay with GTs. Uh First of all, what motivates me to stay with GTS are the people, uh the people and the colleagues, colleagues overall, all teams because most 99% of the colleagues are uh good people. They are relaxed, they're normal, they are uh enjoyable to talk with and they are easy to be solved. Um Me as someone who is doing uh support for them and the remote support for them, it's crucial for me that they have patients. They are willing to provide some information that are needed from them and they are all cooperating and doing their best to help us do our work. So that's something that motivates you to stay where you are, when you have uh a good team and understanding between colleagues. And uh there is no pressure, there is no, you know that every job that you do, it has its own stress, uh pressure timelines and stuff like that uh in GTS, that's in a minimal level. So that's something that drives me and motivates me. Uh How do I feel about company culture and support for remote workers? Uh about culture. I don't know anything or not much as someone who is not present in Chicago in the US but uh for the support for remote workers. Yes, I'm the one who is supporting the remote workers with their workflow and enabling them to join everyday tasks and to do them as they should be done. So, yeah, see you
Looking ahead, what are your career goals, and how do you see yourself growing within the company?
Stefan Novaković: Uh looking ahead, what are your career goals, uh career goals are to become uh Pentest expert, which I'm working on currently. And how do you see yourself growing within the company? Uh For this question, the answer is simple as in life, as in school, you can learn everything uh what is provided to you. For example, in school, if you want to go in one direction and you are learning only from the school, then you cannot expect much. Uh But if you want to upgrade yourself and to be better version of yourself, you will um always and constantly le learn uh with the school and beside the school. So it is the same when you come to some company, uh you will learn for definitely some things. But if you want to know more, you will have to research and to try and try to learn as much as possible. If you have any area of interest, then you will make it hard and uh do the hard job and make time to learn new things. So currently I am working for uh learning uh cybersecurity and that's my main goal. One day, I will be able to protect the company as it should because uh in these days, the crucial stuff for the companies in general is security because of too many spoof attacks, uh email phishing and stuff like that. Currently, my department is working on educating uh employees so that everyone can help and be aware of the tricks and fishing stuff that is going on you will see in close future what we are preparing for you.
