Speaker: Abas Avdagić, Payroll specialist
Can you share a little about your background and experience? What led you to join GTS Transportation as a remote team member?
Abas Avdagić: Hello, I'm Abas and I'm from Bosnia. I started working in GTS 3 years ago. Before that I had some experience in, in banking. You still working as a business light advisor? And I worked as a procurement intern in town town hall in Bosnia. Uh I saw the opportunity to work uh in GTS on LinkedIn, there was a job opening and I submitted my CV and I got the, the opportunity to work here and 3.5 years ago, I'm still here and working.
How have you found your experience working remotely for GTS so far? What aspects of the job do you enjoy the most?
Abas Avdagić: I really enjoy working remotely for GTS it's like working from home. And if I need help with anything, my colleagues are very great and they are one phone call away and they will, they will help me out. Also, the the aspect I most enjoy working remotely is the interaction with my colleagues and with the drivers also.
What motivates you to stay with GTS, and how do you feel about the company's culture and support for remote employees?
Abas Avdagić: I've been working in GTs for 3.5 years. I started as a billing clerk and now I'm a payroll specialist. The thing that motivates me the most to stay in GTs is the great opportunity for professional development here. And also I like the work culture here and uh the my colleagues, uh I have great relations with uh my department, especially with my manager, Julie and my coworker, uh Rita uh work remotely. I don't have any problems I feel part of, of the team and I have all I, I have great support in IT and also with the managers.
Looking ahead, what are your career goals, and how do you see yourself growing within the company?
Abas Avdagić: I still see myself working in GTs. I really enjoy working in the payroll department, but maybe in the next five years I see myself taking on more responsibilities and maybe being some kind of a manager here.
