A month after finishing the program receiving my diploma, I received an appointment to become a correction officer for the State of Ohio. I'm currently in training at my assigned prison and will go to the State Corrections Officer Academy in two weeks. I'll have amazing benefits, great pay and a pension plan. And even at 48 years old, almost 49 my life has completely changed.
