Speakers: Destiny B.

What led you to participate in the Graduation Alliance program? Be as specific as possible.

Destiny B.: I was doing online school. One of the school's counselors called my mom and told her about enrolling me into the Graduation Alliance program. I was struggling academically and I was also struggling with fear failure and my home situation at the time.

What's your favorite part of Graduation Alliance? Be sure to tell us why!

Destiny B.: One thing that I really love about Graduation Alliance is the fact that their staff is very, very encouraging. The Advocates and the teachers and all of my Academic Coaches really just gave me so much encouraging words and also so much help. I also really enjoyed the study meetups, only because I did need help and even if I didn't want it, just being able to sit in the class and show my work to the other students in the meetups and also the teachers. I feel like it really helped me.

How has earning your diploma changed your life?

Destiny B.: Since getting my diploma, I have been able to focus fully on being my mother's full-time caregiver and also I have been accepted into community college. I'm super excited. I will be going there this fall. I'm just able to focus on all of the things that I love and enjoy.

What would you say to other students who are considering this program?

Destiny B.: I would say that if you're considering Graduation Alliance, please join this program. This program is literally amazing and has helped me get my diploma. I graduated a whole year late. I was supposed to graduate June 2024, and I graduated February 2025. So I would just urge anyone who is looking to get a diploma or continue their education to to go to Graduation Alliance. They will give you all the necessary steps and help you through getting your diploma.
