What does Women’s Equality Day mean to you?
Shelonda Darling: Hello, everyone. My name is Shalonda Darling, the Director of our Digital Employee Experience here at Global Payments. And today I wanna share with you what does Women's Equality Day mean to me? Now, I'll be honest, as our former co-chair of the women's network here at Global Payments, I used to get frustrated when we would be putting together plans around any holiday that included the word women or woman in it. I started to feel like are we in elementary school celebrating any and every holiday or is there actual value in the business world to celebrate and acknowledge days like this? And I will tell you that Women's Equality Day, the story that I think is compelling is that women didn't quit. They saw a place where there was inequity and they continued to fight until they got what they wanted. So that is what is most inspiring to me about women receiving their voting rights - is that women don't give up.
