Speaker: Vincent Galand, Co-founder, Kalm
Introduce yourself
Vincent Galand: Hello, I am Vincent Galand, the co-founder of Kalm, a company based in Paris in France. Our aim is to help architect and interior designers structure and better organize their relationship with the craftsman and their customers.
What led you to AppSheet, what problems were you trying to solve?
Vincent Galand: I was a poor user of Google Sheets, that's why I discovered AppSheet. I was looking for a simple no-code platform to build up my MVP And you know, I was familiar with the Google Workspace and it make my- made my choice very easy. I'm trying to solve with AppSheet, actually, it's burning in a beta test. I'm trying to solve pain points of the architect and interior designer on their daily work and specifically when they have to do their "to do lists" and to make sure that everything is okay on the work, on the ground, with their craftsmen and their customers.
What is the most useful app that you or your coworkers have deployed? What impact did it have on your organization?
Vincent Galand: Yes, we only have one app that we have deployed in five agencies, both in architecture and interior design. And actually we only have one. We made several tests, we made several versions. But, still this is our only app and obviously it's part of our products called Kalm. And actually, we decided to move on to our, lets say first version of our software using for some features of AppSheet.
What benefits have you realized with AppSheet?
Vincent Galand: For my customer, I would say that building that app with AppSheets enabled them to, you know, use it very quickly because it was, let's call it that way plug and play, and I didn't really have to train them because it's all easy. Everyone has a Gmail account, so it was very implement, it was very easy to implement it. I have a couple figures to quote, I would say. So, we used AppSheet in more than 50 meetings. We have more than 1000 bullet points of "to do's" and we have more than 500 photos that have been taken using AppSheet and obviously storing in Google Drive. For us internally, with Kalm, we have created a couple of AppSheet apps, and one is obviously to make sure that we store every bill we we make when we go to restaurants in the town. So yeah, I'm a huge fan of AppSheet and it's okay for us, but obviously for our customer within our product Kalm.
What’s the future of AppSheet within the organization?
Vincent Galand: Actually we- I think we went very deep into the AppSheet features complexity and so on. And that's why obviously we decided to move on with our V1 of our product "Kalm" with up AppSheet. Some features, obviously not all of them. And, we really like the fact that Google is obviously a tool that is used by many, many people in the world and specifically in our industry. And, we really like the interaction that we had through the blog, obviously, but also with people we've talked in Google in France.
