Why are you excited to have an accounting product to sell and do you see accounting as a potential money maker?
Hi, everyone. This is Megan you EC in Maryland. I recently got to connect with our product team to learn a little bit more about Accounting, first edition. And after talking with them, I couldn't be more excited to share this product with my partnering districts. So why am I so excited? There's lots of reasons but the first, well, it's, that is the first edition. It's a new course area that we can sell in. So we've already established great partnerships with people in the business pathway. Now, in addition to business marketing finance, we can sell accounting too. So this fall, I plan to leverage G-W name, plan to leverage the successes that people have already experienced in using our products, and I'm going to sell them Accounting. We've got 100% upside potential here, folks. What's not to love about that? So another thing in talking with them that I got to learn was that we've made some updates to our digital resource available for this product. So they asked me, why do Accounting instructors need a digital platform? This one's kind of simple. There's been a dramatic shift in accounting education and educators are starting to move away from print to digital. More importantly, employers have moved away from pen and paper, accounting to digital. So to help students be more successful in their careers, they need exposure to digital resources like Excel and QuickBooks and you got it. We've got it. So the last question I was asked was, what is a problem that Accounting instructors need resolved? So this is a good one because they've got a few. But the biggest problem would have to be currency. So again, the landscape of accounting education, it's changing and keeping up with this while having an older textbook, it's not gonna work out, it's not gonna, it's not gonna cut it for the students. So our accounting first edition, it's up to date. It offers digital support to reinforce student application all while providing those basic foundational knowledge and skills that students need to master accounting. So teachers want videos to reinforce challenging concepts. Teachers need digital support and assessment that kind of mimics real world scenarios and teachers need a textbook that's current, but it still provides fundamental accounting concepts in approachable way. We've got it. So this semester, when I go out to my district offices and I send out my email campaigns, I'm going to be sure to ask who's teaching or who's responsible for accounting in the district. We've got something new, we've got something exciting and I can't wait to share it with them. So hope everyone has an awesome fall and we'll talk to you soon. Bye.
