Video Transcript

Speakers: Lily Ruble, Director of Curriculum. Liz Fleskes, Head of Early Childhood. Christina Jarke, Counselor

Please tell us what a New Year means to you and how you approach a New Year.

Lily Ruble: To me, a New Year is exciting. It brings lots of possibility and opportunity to, you know, make things different or make things a little bit better than maybe they were before. But my approach really to the New Year is giving myself a lot of grace, setting a couple of goals, but knowing to take things slowly and to just really be reflective of what happened in the year prior and be hopeful for what's to come.

Christina Jarke: For me, New Year's means a fresh new start, a clean slate and a way to kind of reenergize and center myself.

Liz Fleskes: New Year's, to me means new beginnings and I'm really excited to see, the children when we get back from our holiday and how much they've grown and how the learning seems to click, click, click in Early Childhood. And we have what we call the Christmas miracle where everything begins to make sense. It's always fun to watch them, set their goals for the New Year and to enjoy some of the black eyed peas we harvested from our summer gardens. I hope that you and yours have a very wonderful and safe and healthy start to the New Year.
