Speaker: Seth Hogan, Assistant Director of Classroom of the Earth

Please introduce yourself and tell us what excites you most about joining the Good Shepherd community.

Seth Hogan: Hi, everybody. My name is Seth. I'm joining Good Shepherd this year and I've been contracting with Good Shepherd for quite a while now. Six or seven years. Typically with the fifth, seventh and eighth grade trips, but I'm excited to kind of join, the rest of, what the community has to offer at Good Shepherd. And, instead of only being there for the outside trips, kind of get to meet everybody more intimately and, just kind of excited for a new chapter in life. See you soon.

What is an interesting fact about yourself or something people may not know about you?

Seth Hogan: One interesting fact about me is that throughout my travels and life in Colorado, I was a van dweller that lived in my van for about seven or eight years. And that allowed me to travel the country and just explore the country as much as I possibly could typically revolving around rock climbing and skiing and hiking. So that was a great part of my life, but ready for something new.

What is the best advice you ever received and who was it from?

Seth Hogan: When I was young, my grandpa always used to tell me that the only thing constant in life is change so you'd better get used to it.

What’s been the highlight of your summer?

Seth Hogan: Some of the highlights of my summer have been, hiking up in the heat of the day to some alpine lakes in the Rocky Mountain National Park and swimming in cold water on a hot day.

What brings you joy?

Seth Hogan: What brings me the most joy is being just out in the mountains, whether it's an activity or not, just on a clear bluebird day.
