Speaker: Madeline Pearson, Kindergarten Teacher
Please introduce yourself and tell us what excites you most about joining the Good Shepherd community.
Madeline Pearson: Hi, everyone. My name is Maddie Pearson and I will be teaching kindergarten at Good Shepherd this year. This is my sixth year teaching. So I'm excited for a year of growth with my students and I think I'm just excited to get to know all the wonderful, Good Shepherd families and join the Good Shepherd community.
What is an interesting fact about yourself or something people may not know about you?
Madeline Pearson: One interesting fact about me. I actually just had my first baby in April, so I have a 3-month- old. He is also going to be joining the Good Shepherd community. He's going to be attending the PDO program this year and we are so excited to be going to school together.
What is the best advice you ever received and who was it from?
Madeline Pearson: The best piece of advice I've ever gotten was from my graduate school professor, Dr. Gifford. She told us when we know better, we do better. So I always challenge my students to grow and learn from their mistakes and become better people every day using that mentality.
What’s been the highlight of your summer?
Madeline Pearson: The highlight of my summer has been spent at the beach. I'm currently here with my family and I've been enjoying watching my newborn meet his family and enjoy the water and the sunshine. So yes, I have been enjoying every minute here at the beach with my family.
What brings you joy?
Madeline Pearson: Things that bring me joy. I love spending time with my family, especially here at the beach. Thriller novels, soccer, music, and Trader Joe's. Bye everybody.
